Neben seiner Arbeit als Lehrer für Zauberer und Laien ist Jan ein gefragter Performer für Familien- und Firmenveranstaltungen.​ Jan Dober, der Zauberer und Geschichtenerzähler aus Berlin, erblickte im November 1978 das Licht der Welt. In der Hauptstadt arbeitet er als freiberuflicher Geschichtenerzähler, Kinderzauberer / Zauberkünstler, Musiker und Autor von zahlreichen Kindergeschichten.
